Throughout the sixteenth century and early seventeenth century; once with development of trade, economic calculations had become extremely difficult .Also, development of navigation has made necessary correction of astronomical tables used in guidance .Mathematicians were looking new ways to simplify all these calculations. An important idea that emerged in the effort of finding simplifying solutions was replacement of multiplications by addition based on correlations tables. The main merit belongs Scottish mathematician John NApier (1550-1617) who established the first board decimal logarithms .He did this from reasons of kinematic nature and noting the connection between of a geometrical progression and those of an arithmetic progression. The board was further improved by Anglais Bringgs (1561-1631) and Wright(1560-1645) and completed between 1603-1611 with boards of "antilogarithm"(today- exponential) calculated by Suise Burgi. The introduction of these computing techniques had resulted in the development of theoretical studies related to the logarithmic function and the exponential which far exceeded the specific areas in which it had started initial.Today, although the logarithm computing doesn't apply and exponantial functions logarithmic, have an important role in Mathematics ,in Physics; Geography Economics; Biology.
