To my mind, fashion is very important because it has triggered and it continues to trigger important changes and effects in various cultural and social environments. It is also of great economic significance.
Socially, fashion is a way of presenting ourselves, at times in exaggerated ways - both in the positive and negative sense. Other times, fashion is completely forgotten and unfortunately if one is not fashionable, one is criticised. I believe that there should be a balance to fashion where each person has their own style of getting dressed.
However, we live our lives at such speed that some of us don't get to consider how to dress. Sometimes we don't have the time to take a look at what we wear and which clothes we put on our backs. Even so, without paying attention we get dressed with the clothes we have in our closets - ultimately, these are the ones we chose, either by buying them or by creating them.
At other times we don't wear what we created, what we sewed, what we invented. I am one of those who create and invent clothes that they don't wear. This is wrong but the reason why I don't wear my own creations is that there is no place or time for me to wear them, although I would like to. Fashion is very important and it has generated many controversies, but it's all very hard to explain.
