In engleza exista:
- verbe regulate (to call, to answer, to ask, to wish, etc) care formeaza trecutul simplu adaugand terminatia "-ed"
- verbe neregulate (to buy, to bring, to go, to write, etc) care au forme specifice pentru timpul trecut simplu. Ex: to buy - bought; to bring - brought; to go - went; to write - wrote, etc... Lista cu aceste verbe se invata pe de rost
