The golden parakeet or golden conure is a medium-size golden-yellow Neotropecal parrot native to the Amazon Basin og interior nothern Brazil.
It's plumage is mostly bright yellow ,hence it's common name,but it also possesses green remiges.It lives in the drier ,upland rainforests in Amazonian Brazil ,and is threatened by deforstation and flooding ,amd also by the now-illegal trpping of wild individuals for the pet trade .It is listed in cites appendix I.
