I agree that travel can promote understanding and communication between countries. When people travel they come across various cultures, various traditions, in some situations very different from their own. They also meet other people who may have different mentalities from their own. What is important is to try to adapt to the new cultural circumstances and try not to judge people who are different. So, I think that travelling can make us more understanding and more compassionate towards other people from other countries.
