Observații:

Pentru a face diferența între Present Simple și Present Continuous, e necesar să intuim când este vorba de o acțiune în plină desfășurare pe o perioadă mai lungă (aspectul continuu) și când este vorba de o acțiune cu caracter general (aspectul simplu, rutina).

În exercițiul de mai sus avem multe verbe de percepție (to feel - a simți, to smell - a mirosi, to think - a se gândi, to believe - a crede). Știm că verbele de percepție se folosesc la Present Simple, cu unele excepții. Iată un exemplu:

  • The perfume smells so good! (Present Simple - florile miros în general foarte frumos)
  • Your socks are smelling really awful, go and wash them! (Present Continuous - șosetele continuă să miroase până sunt spălate).
