I had a wonderful summer holiday! I went to Rome together with my parents, in fact the trip was a surprise for my birthday. We stayed in a small but cosy hotel not far from Vatican. After we arrived, we left our luggage in the room and went strait to visit the Vatican Museum. The Sistine Chapel is wonderful! Unfortunately it was forbidden to take pictures inside the Chapel, so I couldn't send you any photos with it. The Saint Peter cathedral is huge! The next three days we visited the the town and had the chance to see the Column, the Vittorio Emanuele monument, Circo Massimo, the Piramide, the Colloseo, the Mouth of Truth, and lots of other wonderful landmarks. We were lucky that the weather was fine, it was sunny and warm. My mother suggested to eat only pizza and pasta. One of the days we took the train and went to Lido di Ostia to have a bathe in the Mediterranean Sea. The water was worm and clear.
