I think that teenagers nowadays are not what they used to be sometime. They are more concerned about the virtual life, just like video games, facebook, twitter, instagram and all the others socializing applications instead of being concerned about school, and a social life, but not an online one.
There is no child in our time who doesn't own a phone. But, beside that, they're smoking a lot, from early ages, like 11-12, and I don't know how many of them have read a book in the past time.
