I agree with the first quote. I think music can be appreciated whatever language it is sung in if it sounds good. For example, Rammstein is a German rock band which sing in their native language, and they are listened to by people all around the world. On the other hand, music in English can become popular way faster, because English is a language known by most people these days. Still, I think that if the music sounds good enough, it will be appreciated no matter what language it is sung in.
