Last year around Christmas, as I was sitting next to the fireplace, I thought I should light a candle for this occasion. Then, I thought it would be a good idea to get the decorations out of the garage and put up some mistletoe.
As I was gathering all that I needed, I heard some bells outside. I imagined that the neighbors were decorating their house as well so I didn't pay much attention.
Mom was also in the Christmas mood because she was in the kitchen making chocolate pudding, gingerbread cookies and pinapple upside down cake. The house was smelling just like it came out of a fairytale.
All of a sudden, there was a knock on the door. But it couldn't be Father Christmas! It was too early for my present to arrive. So I went to the door and opened it only to be greeted by wonderful holy sounds of carollers. I listened to them in wonder and then gave them some warm milk and some of the treats mom was preparing.
After they left, I decided to put a wreath on the door so that it would feel more welcoming.
Soon, I noticed the first snowflake on my window. How glad I was that it was snowing because the trees in front of the house were going to be magically-looking in just a few hours from that moment. All that was missing out of this picture were an angel, Santa's reindeer and, of course, my stockings full of all kinds of sweets and gifts. But I still had to wait a little while longer until Christmas Eve...
