Some of my colleagues say
I am obsessed, but really. I am not. I just like to play the piano. I like it
very much indeed. I stay at home, instead of going out, and practice every day
for three hours. And after that I listen to classical music records. My parents
took me to a famous teacher when I was four. She said I was very talented and I
should take lessons. She also said I could be famous. My parents didn’t care
about that and me either. I didn’t even know what that meant at the time. But
most of all, my teacher said I should take lessons if I want to and if I like
the piano. I did. I am the happiest when I play. Mary

colegii mei spun că sunt obsedată, dar eu chiar nu sunt. Doar îmi place foarte
mult să cânt la pian. Îmi place chiar foarte mult. Stau acasă, în loc să ies
afară, și repet în fiecare zi câte trei ore. Și apoi ascult înregistrări cu muzică
clasică. Părinții mei m-au dus la o profesoară de pian faimoasă când aveam
patru ani. Ea a spus că sunt foarte talentată și că ar trebui s iau ore de
pian. A mai spus și că aș putea ajunge faimoasă. Părinților mei nu le păsa de
asta, iar mie nici atât. Nici măcar nu știam ce înseamnă asta atunci. Dar, mai
mult decât atât, profesoara mea a spus că ar trebui să iau ore doar dacă vreau
și dacă îmi place pianul. Îmi plăcea. Sunt cea mai fericită când cânt la pian.
